When Shame Falls Away

I am enough. And I think, what is most important, is to believe that we are enough.  Because when we work from a place that says, "I am enough", then we stop screaming and we start listening.  We are kinder and gentler to the people around us and kinder and gentler to ourselves. Brene Brown

As women we often walk around with this constant barrage of negative self talk and a deep sense of shame about the very essence of who we are.

Unlovable! Worthless! Need to hide! Unaccepted! Not good enough! Valueless! Too big! Too much! A phony!
Too little! Too stupid! Ugly!

This negative self talk and the shame it evokes arises from a collection of stories and experiences that we have come to believe are truths about our self and the fear that others see and judge us harshly. But these are only wounded beliefs that we carry and are not the essence of who we are.  However, those wounded beliefs limit us profoundly.  They keep us from speaking our truth and from being our truth.  They keep us small and scared in our life and they erode the very fabric of our potential.

When we can let go of our history and our fear of others judgments about us we can access our own worthiness.  We can know that we are enough, just as we are and that we are worthy of love and belonging.

In this day long retreat for women, we will explore together, with vulnerability and courage, the very fabric of our internal shame.  Within a safe circle we will lovingly release that which limits us and open into our potential as women.
